Nesting

Nesting began months ago while I had energy.....
Now I find it very difficult to get up off the ground once i'm down there and if something happens to roll under the table it may just stay there a few days or weeks.
last night I shaved one leg......dropped the razor.......and did not continue on with my mission
Got out the baby clothes the other day to wash them
Couldnt believe how many I saved just in case I had another girl
Sorted them by age and tucked them away in the closet
but not till I pulled out all the precious newborn things they only wear for three weeks....
If you had your heart set on getting me a cute little newborn outfit, you may want to reconsider????????
It was so fun looking through all of Ella's things and remembering her in them. I'm grateful I get to use it all again!
Ella was no help during this process and reverted back to infancy herself

When I got pregnant with Ella I mentioned the word "nesting" to James casually, like he was familiar with this term. I recall him getting a confused look on his face and asking " how are we gonna build the nest?"

This is how he has been nesting lately with our spoiled only child. He really does build a little nest for the princess and she snuggles on into his armpit.
5 MORE WEEKS TILL WE GET ANOTHER ONE OF THESE CUTIES!
(James let me know tonight that if the new baby isn't very cute then we will just keep posting pictures of Ella on the blog......so if you don't see any pictures of her in the next month you will know why!)

  1. Nesting is a blessing, I would have gotten NOTHING done while I was pregnant without it. I CAN'T WAIT to see pictures of the new babe, so you better post A LOT ;)

  2. That post was precious. I truly can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I slept with Ella on my chest. What beautiful memories I have of the 2 (alright James, you too) of you and the week I spent there after Ella was born. Can't wait to do it again in a few weeks!!
