We made it!

We made it to Florida in one piece.....but our things have yet to come. The moving truck has had our stuff for twenty days now. Can you believe it. We have been living out of our suitcases for almost a month. I have one pair of shorts I have worn EVERYDAY. The flight was good. Ella did great the whole time. She struggled through the last few hours, after ten hours of traveling I noticed her top two teeth poking through the skin. Poor baby. We landed and James met us at the airport after three straight days of driving from Utah........with poison ivy. Miserable. He held ella out and away from him and wanted to hug and love her after not seeing us for seven days.
We really missed him. He was so itchy and sleepy from the medicine he was taking for it.

We had our apartment but nothing was in it so we stayed with James childhood friends the Silvas. We couldn't have survived without them. They fed us home cooked meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, gave us our own room and taught ella privet swim lessons everyday. We had so much fun over there.

They had an eight month old and Ella got to play here all day long. We never wanted to leave.

Bernadeth Silva with ella. She has taught lessons for years and is so good with babies. Ella went under and was kicking on her first lesson. Now she blows bubbles in the water.

On our last day there we went to the beach with everyone. Ella loved it and swam in the ocean for the first time. She kept sucking the salt water off her fingers. Gross! From the time we leave our apartment to the time we hit the water it is fifteen minutes total. It's like being on vacation everyday here. I love it.
Asleep at the beach
These two played all week together. We had two little babies in the house all week and we never heard either one of them cry once. They are both so mellow. We miss little Lea .
We finally left on Monday and headed for the apartment. Still no things but we are making it work. We have a blow up mattress, crib and two towels. We have really been roughing it. We couldn't have done it if Ella wasn't such a good girl all the time. She still naps three times a day and sleeps all night even though she has slept different places all week.

Elle discovered her toes this week. Hurray!!

View from the front of our new apartment in Florida. We miss you all and can't wait for you to visit the sunshine state.

  2. Love the pictures of Ella in the pool. Can't believe a 6 month old can do so well in the water! I love all the pictures and videos you sent me too. Ella with her feet in her mouth is precious. The views out your windows are beautiful. You are very lucky-and to be so close to the beach. We are trying to figure out when we can come-Myah said next week would be okay with her!!
