2 1/2 years old

Two and a half has been a exciting time in our household.
We are potty trained, sleeping in a big girl bed, adjusting to our new home and talking like crazy. Ella has always been a talker but man oh man she talks all day and I understand about 90% of it.

What a girl she is. We are down to only three options for clothing.... a pink ballerina tutu, a brown dress and this princess dress. Oh ya and she will only wear her silver Cinderella slippers on her feet. They are a size to small and she is getting blisters. I try and hide them but she always finds them. She is eating pretty well and really likes corn, hotdog, strawberries and peanut butter sandwiches. She is 23 pounds. We do school each day and she loves it. She is learning her colors and shapes. She knows the sounds of many letters and can count to 12 because that is how many stairs we have going to our front door. Wish we had some more stairs. She loves reading three times a day and drawing in her little notebook. She cooks one meal a day with me in the kitchen and loves to stir in the bowl. She is so kind to her little sister and I love that I don't have to worry about them being alone in a room together anymore. She has quite an attitude and can stare you down and make you feel like you are a bad person. (sorry to all of my friends who have gotten this death look from the princess) But she truly is a sweetie pie.....most of the time. Lets just say 2 1/2 has been a challenge for me but I love how grown up she is getting and the bond we have developed.

  1. I hate how fast they grow up and being away and not a part of that process. Look forward to a visit and some quality time to catch up with those sweet girls. You are such a good mom and I love that about you. So creative and constantly teaching. The girls will surely benefit. Love, Dad

  2. I miss Ella so much! I love talking to her on the phone, and all the great videos and pictures you send daily. She has always been so smart, and seems much wiser than a 2 1/2 year old. And you,Joslyn, are the best mom ever!

  4. I love this little 2 1/2 year old! Also, this has nothing to do with your blog but have you ever watched hoarders? As I'm reading up on blogs, we have it on and I am dying about it. For some reason I feel like you would kind of like this show...
